Singer-Songwriter-Music Producer-DJ-Vocal-Performance Artist

“Years after growing up on a steady stream of dance music, Isis Kuaygarond still remembers diaper-clad romps during sound check at her father's former club “La Fiesta” in Thailand. It was around that dance floor that, as a child, she inadvertently discovered the sounds of Inner City, Cybotron and Egyptian Lover amongst others. It was there that the cornerstones were laid for a life fully immersed in the fantasyland we call club culture.

Later on, life would lead the Spanish-Thai artist back to her mother's native land, Spain, as she discovered her first forays onto the stage via physical performance. A short stint in Madrid led her to Ibiza. And after many formative years on the stage dancing at some of the island's trademark clubs (like DC10, Space, and Cirque du Soleil’s HEART club) and an interim release on Shaddock Records in 2015, lead Isis to hang up her platforms for good and venture into the studio—where her heart had been all along.

The decision coincided with a relocation to Berlin, a city of endless dark evenings, perfect for drawn-out studio sessions. Far from the familiar shores of her earliest years, the German capital witnessed her rekindle her love for music. More specifically, that of her own making —classic beats driven by her favorite 808-drum machine, with clear harkenings to the sounds of the eighties. Perhaps a throwback to the over-the-top aesthetics of her years as an entertainer, it's these vintage nuances, coupled with the occasional acoustic accent like violins or piano and her experimentation with layered vocal harmonics that have come to define Isis's recent style. With a decidedly physical understanding of what makes a dance tune, her approach seems to be a visceral one—in which she puts a bit of herself into every song and is determined to have as good a time making it as she's like others to have while listening to it.

2017 saw Isis finding her groove in the studio and making a series of cameos and
international debuts alongside Mathew Jonson, touring together around the world in different festivals and venues as their joint project, Mathew Jonson Feat. Xx Isis xX. Together they released a special 80s Latin freestyle cover of "Betrayal”.

Following that she was featured in releases on more electronic imprints like Visionquest and Obscura Records. In 2019, she was finally ready to self-release her first solo single “Fading Away”. This laid the groundwork for big things in 2020 with a new double single ‘Family Matters’ divided into two parts: “Two Faces” and “Through the Night”, on Shaddock Records, featuring remixes by
Nathan Jonson and Mathew Jonson.
Her latest releases in 2022 are for the Austria-based Trust electro label called Accelerated Frequency in collab with the /DL/MS/ band and Hekate's Love for the Occultist techno record label based in Berlin.
As an artist, Isis continues to push her boundaries through several artistic mediums to create audiovisual projects, as she continues to create music where she goes deeper into self-realization, love, and softness with a touch of decadence, which promotes an important message that the world needs more of in these hard times and she fully embraces and embodies it through the process ”
